Registration for the bus service is no longer open for the start of the 2023-24 school year. While every effort will be made to accommodate requests, availability is based on seats and established routes.
Costs are AED 8,000 per student per school year. Students will only be allowed to use the bus service after payment has been received. Payments are made directly to Imperial Transport.
Yes, all students from KG1 to Grade 12 are permitted to ride the bus.
Following school dismissal, the assigned bus monitor will retrieve KG1 and KG2 bus riders directly from their classrooms and bring them to their bus. At the bus stop, students in KG1-Grade 5 must be handed off to an adult to depart the bus or must accompany an older sibling in Grades 6-12.
Will I be able to contact the bus driver and/or bus monitor?
Parents will be provided with the telephone number of the bus monitor on your child’s bus. Drivers are not available by phone while driving.
Yes, there will be two late buses. The first bus will depart approximately 1 hour after school, and the final will depart approximately bus 2 hours after school.
The school will coordinate with the bus company to accommodate changes in timings as officially requested by the school.
Bus transport will not be available during days when students do not attend school, such as Professional Learning Days or all-school Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences Days. If one division has a regular school day and another division is closed for students, regular bus transport will be available for those students who are in session.
Bus monitors will contact parents with updates or delays.
There is no sibling discount for school bus transport services.
A partial refund of 50 percent is only available if notice is provided to bus@acs.sch.ae at least 30 days before the second semester begins.

If your child(ren) is not planning to ride the bus, please ensure you contact your assigned bus monitor in advance.
Safety features include GPS monitoring, CCTV, electronic attendance systems, seat belts, central operations control and professionally trained drivers. Additional bus safety protocols are found here.
Students should be ready and waiting when the bus arrives at the bus stop. The bus will wait for a maximum of two minutes for any late arrivals before departing.
Will someone need to wait for my child at the bus stop?
Students in KG1-Grade 5 must be handed off to an adult to depart the bus or must accompany an older sibling in Grades 6-12. Students in KG1-Grade 5 will not be permitted to depart the bus without adult hand-off and will be returned to school.
Bus routes and schedules are determined based on participation. Specific information, including bus stop location, time of pick up and drop off and more, will be communicated following registration.
Government rules allow for a maximum of 75 minutes on the bus for children. We anticipate a maximum of 55 minutes for most locations.
